CCC to hold program for cancer patients
“Look Good ... Feel Better,” a program designed to help women overcome the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment, will hold its next session 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Commonwealth Cancer Center in Danville.
Classes are taught by professional licensed beauty professionals — cosmetologists, estheticians, nail technicians — and are open to all women undergoing cancer treatment. The program is free, but registration is required.

Basketball tourney set
The St. James A.M.E. Church Men’s Fellowship Summer Basketball Classic will take place Friday and Saturday at Batewood Housing and Authority Park at South Second Street in Danville. Tipoff will be 6 p.m Friday.
The tournament is 21 and under, and double elimination. There is a 10-team limit. First-place team will have its entry fee returned, with second place receiving free T-shirts. There is a $50 entry fee per team.
There willl be food for sale on site, including hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken and fish. Bring a lawn chair.
