Concert set
Alumni of the Centre Singers, Centre College’s most selective choral ensemble, will give a concert at 8 p.m. Saturday in Newlin Hall of the Norton Center for the Arts. The concert is free. The concert is the culmination of a 3-day reunion, held every four years, for alumni singers.
The program will feature classical, sacred, folk, and old favorites. Two returning alumni, soprano Korin Kormick, who completed her doctorate in voice at the Eastman School of Music, and Ben Durham, who completed his master’s in choral conducting at Westminster Choir College, will be featured at the concert.

Clarification
Mercer County school officials do not suspect someone who works with the school system might be responsible for recent incidents where school buses have been taken for joyrides and then returned. Superintendent Dennis Davis said officials fear it is students who are involved.
Corrections
- A story in Wednesday’s Advocate-Messenger should have listed the name of Thomas Hager’s former public defender as Susanne McCollough.
- Only the second floor of Perryville’s community center is included in leases being transferred from Perryville Battlefield Preservation Association, which is disbanding. Information was incorrect in a recent story due to a reporter’s error.
