Boyle County Board of Education — 7 p.m. today at the Boyle County High School library. Agenda includes amendments for the 2013-2014 school calendar.

 

Free hunter education course

A free hunter education course, sponsored by Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, will be offered from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 30. Classes will be held at the Cedar Creek Sportsman Club,  6.6 miles from Stanford on U.S.150 E near the Cedar Creek Lake dam. Drive event set for Heritage Hospice

A Stuart Powell Drive One event is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 20. Participants can take a free test-drive and Ford Motor Company will donate up to $6,000 to Heritage Hospice.

 

Reading event includes a book give-away

STANFORD — Celebrate Read Across America event will be 9:30-11:30 a.m. March 30 at the Lincoln County Public Library. Story time for ages preschool through fifth grade will begin at 10 a.m. The event also includes crafts, refreshments and a visit from the Cat in the Hat. Each child present will be given a free book. The event is sponsored by the Lincoln County Education Association and the Kentucky Education Association.

 

Easter egg hunt

A community Easter egg hunt and brunch will begin 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church Christian Life Center. The event includes food, games, prizes and the Easter Bunny.
