Boyle Sheriff accepting Rx drugs
The Boyle County Sherriff’s Office will be accepting old, unused or out-dated prescription drugs 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the Boyle County Courthouse. Residents are urged to drop off prescription drugs with the sherriff and not dispose of them in the trash or down the sink.
Halloween events at Boyle Library
Special Halloween events at the Boyle County Public Library begin 4 p.m. Thursday. Kids are invited to dress up and visit the children’s library for a party with treats, games and stories. Beginning at 6 p.m., older kids and adults are invited to dress up and experience “Mayhem in the Mahan.” Participants will meet outside by the reading garden iron gates on Third Street. Tours start every 20 minutes.
Shaker Village offers free pumpkins
PLEASANT HILL — Beginning 10 a.m. today, free pumpkins will be given away with any purchase at the Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill craft store, while supplies last. Pumpkins will be available outside the Carpenter’s Shop Craft Store.
Revival scheduled

Franklin Masonic Lodge holds acution
Franklin Masonic Lodge will have its annual Bean Soup and Pie Auction beginning 6 p.m. Saturday. The lodge will serve soup beans and cornbread and auction off homemade pies. Money raised will be used to support charity and the lodge’s Christmas fruit basket program. The public is welcome and all Masonic lodges are encouraged to attend. Salvisa Ruritan Club hosts breakfast
SALVISA¿— The Salvisa Ruritan Club will host a “Fall Harvest Breakfast” for the community 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the Ruritan Club building in Salvisa. The $5 all-you-can-eat breakfast is a fundraiser for the club’s scholarship fund.
