MARTIN —Rosie Lee McCoy, 59, of Prestonsburg, Ky., wife of James McCoy, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Pikeville Medical Center. 

Born April 16, 1953, in Stanford, Ky., she was the daughter of Emma Brown King and the late James King.  She was a homemaker and a member of Cow Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, James, and her mother, Emma, survivors include a son, Zachary D. McCoy of Prestonsburg, Ky.; six brothers, James “Buddy” King of Berea, Ky., Stevie King, Ricky King, Marvin King, Bobby King and Johnny King, all of McKinney, Ky.; two sisters, Dora Sherbert of Lexington, Ky., and Virginia Gordon of Stanford, Ky.; and one grandson, Ryder McCoy.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Scott and Teresa Griffin.

Funeral services were 1 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Cow Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Prestonsburg, with Nathan Lafferty officiating. Burial was inGethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg.
