Police Blotter for Aug. 17

AUGUST 17

 

12:46 a.m., physical domestic altercation in progress at Earl Street residence; male is destroying property and has assaulted the female; she has refused EMS; male was armed with a sledge hammer; police officer is requesting EMS for a female who had been choked; male under arrest; female said she may go to the police department later to fill out the emergency protection order; also, the male was served a no trespassing order for the residence.

1:49 a.m., drivers of two vehicles are racing down U.S. 127 near Walmart; arrest made; tow companies on scene.

5:17 a.m., caller from Speedway is requesting an officer check on a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot; it is occupied by at least two or three males who have been sitting there a while and made some suspicious comments to the clerks; subjects gone upon officer’s arrival; Centre College public safety department notified to also watch for the vehicle.

11:06 a.m., report that Bluegrass Pike home was burglarized sometime in the past.

11:16 a.m., vehicle stop on South Fourth Street; arrest made.

11:22 a.m., motorcycle has wrecked on Skywatch Drive.

12:11 p.m., a vehicle has struck a utility pole on Brookside Drive.

12:42 p.m., a holdup alarm is showing at desk at PBK Bank; assistance given.

3:54 p.m., two-vehicle accident in Kroger parking lot; assistance given.

4 p.m., call came into police headquarters from Florida about a subject who is laying in the backyard on North Third Street; subject checked out OK.

4:39 p.m., customer at Chamber’s Marathon is being belligerent; subject gone upon officer’s arrival.

5:01 p.m., two-vehicle accident on East Walnut Street; assistance given.

5:03 p.m., report that a female is in a verbal disturbance outside on Hillcrest Drive with her husband; arrest made.

7:22 p.m., officer checking on Boyden Court residence; consent search declined.

7:54 p.m., officer’s cruiser has caught on fire at North and Second streets; law enforcement cancelled the fire department before its arrival.

11:05 p.m., caller believes there is a verbal domestic altercation in progress between a mother and son; unable to locate subjects.
