Police blotter for Aug. 19-20

Editor’s note: Taken from the Danville 911 records, the Police Blotter represents a history of the initial calls and the information used by the dispatcher to send officers to investigate complaints.  AUGUST 19

12:55 a.m., report that a male attempted to push into the caller’s house on Shawnee Road as she was letting herself inside; she has managed to lock him out; K9 attempted to track subject; unable to locate.

7:32 a.m., caller’s 35-year-old husband has fallen; he has a history of PTSD; assistance given.

2:21 p.m., report of a verbal domestic altercation between a mother and her 21-year-old son on North Street; trouble settled.

2:38 p.m., report of a male walking down Cavalcade Drive yelling profanities on the phone; assistance given.

2:39 p.m., a female is trespassing on Walmart property and trying to shoplift meth precursors; arrest made.

5 p.m., caller was cleaning upstairs and when she came down, she could not locate her young child; it’s been 10 minutes; 5:03 p.m., mother has found the child asleep behind a door at the home.

7:46 p.m., a female in the middle of Harding Street appears to be under the influence; arrest made.

8:53 p.m., report that the back gate and back door are open at Go Go Gorillas.

9:29 p.m., a group of subjects are walking down West Main Street and one of them is trying to open car doors as they pass; unable to locate subjects.

11:07 p.m., report that a daughter assaulted her mother earlier today and she is now destroying property; she left in the mother’s vehicle without her permission; 11:48 p.m., the daughter has returned and is destroying property; case report taken.

11:10 p.m., report that there are about 30 rowdy juveniles in Walmart parking lot; assistance given.

 

AUGUST 20

12:32 a.m., caller heard what sounded like a domestic altercation and property being destroyed; officer advised that the mother had been assaulted by her daughter; 1:17 a.m., officer at residence in reference to a theft; case report taken.

1:57 a.m., caller from Proctor Street residence hears someone talking by her back window and on the front porch; officer unable to locate suspect.

2:22 a.m., a deer has been hit by a vehicle on North Third Street and is badly injured.

3:25 a.m., the same caller from Proctor Street residence heard footsteps on the front porch and a cell phone beeping; caller has decided she didn’t need an officer to respond but that she just wanted to report it.

7:32 a.m., report that vehicle was broken into overnight on Pleasant Wood Drive.
