Police blotter for Jan. 31 to Feb. 2

Editor’s note: Taken from the Danville 911 records, the Police Blotter represents a history of the initial calls and the information used by the dispatcher to send officers to investigate complaints.  JANUARY 31

 3:18 a.m., request to check on the welfare of a male who commented about possibly hurting someone due to news of his deployment to Afghanistan; assistance given.

4:03 a.m., a female at Best Western has passed out; she is laying on the floor and breathing but unresponsive.

7:48 a.m., caller's black SUV has been stolen sometime overnight.

8:15 a.m., caller at a Ben-Ali Drive residence says a male was sitting in a car in a parking lot; when he saw the caller leave her apartment he got out and ran off; she went back to check if she locked the door and the male subject was sitting in the vehicle again; gone upon officer's arrival.

9:53 a.m., a 10-year-old student has left Jennie Rogers Elmentary School; assistance given.

11:44 a.m., caller from Lexington is requesting to check on the welfare of her daughter; her vehicle's tires have been slashed by a male; female refused police assistance and the male left the area.

1:21 p.m., caller says a male and female pushing a baby carriage on Hustonville Road appear to be arguing; the male tried to push the carriage toward the road and the female grabbed it and ran ahead of the male.

3:15 p.m., animal control is requesting an officer because they are taking a dog from Michelle Court residence.

7:15 p.m., caller from Brent Avenue says a male has sent her harassing text messages and he now may be outside of her place of employment; the male does have an active warrant and DVO.

7:55 p.m., report of a house on Hamilton Lane in Perryville that was burglarized yesterday; caller was advised of options.

10:26 p.m., report of a large passenger van parked at a construction site on J.E. Woods Drive; a male got out of the van and is going through a Dumpster.

10:36 p.m., physical altercation in progress outside of a Madison Avenue residence; caller can hear a male screaming and one of the subjects may have been struck.

10:37 p.m., caller from Madison Avenue says a male ran over his dog then fled the scene in a white car.

10:47 p.m., report of a 5-month-old baby in a residence with both parents who are not legally allowed to be alone with the infant; all further calls should be directed toward social services.

11:04 p.m., one-vehicle accident at Gose Pike and Baughman Avenue.

11:54 p.m., extra patrol is requested in the Larrimore Lane area due to a suspicious person walking around vehicles in caller's driveway.

 FEBRUARY 1

 9:19 a.m., report that a male appears to have broken into a vehicle on North Hill-N-Dale Drive; the owner had locked himself out and everything is OK.
