Police Blotter from August 14, 2012

AUGUST 13

3:21 a.m., a female has been locked out of her residence and her small children are inside; assistance given and subject was able to get a key from the neighbor.

3:33 a.m., a verbal domestic altercation has taken place at the caller's home; her husband is bipolar and is having a nervous breakdown; the caller was explained all of her options.

10:43 a.m., a person from Cloverdale Drive is in the police department lobby in reference to a civil matter involving a vehicle; assistance given.

11:10 a.m., caller on a bicycle has located a wallet on the side of the road at U.S. 127 and Maple Avenue.

12:22 p.m., extra patrol is requested in Jackson Park.

4:21 p.m., a unit at Self Service Storage has been broken into and several items were stolen.

4:51 p.m., caller wants to speak to an officer about criminal mischief done to her vehicle that has been occurring while being parked at Charleston Health Care.

5:06 p.m., two-vehicle accident on Jane Trail.

5:08 p.m., report of theft of vehicle parts that occurred over the weekend at Bob Allen Motor Mall on Maple Avenue.

5:52 p.m., report that an elderly man is walking in the middle of Hustonville Road and he seems very disoriented.

5:52 p.m., caller advised that a 4- or 5-yea- old male attempted to stab her 10-year-old niece with a pocket knife; caller advised that several days ago a small child poked her younger child with a knife and she only reported it to his parents; trouble settled.

6:01 p.m., caller is reporting that a male has made threats that he is suicidal, homicidal, then suicidal again; caller doesn't know where the subject lives; phone companies unable to locate subject on mapping or internet.

6:36 p.m., female at Patrician Place residence is reporting that her brother assaulted her; arrest made.

6:47 p.m., an intoxicated male pushed six carts into three vehicles and went into Kroger; subject resisted arrest and EMS was requested; arrest made.

8:30 p.m., a male shoplifter appears to be intoxicated or under the influence of narcotics at CVS.

8:39 p.m., caller from Rincon Latino on South Second Street is advising that a shot just came through the window; caller wasn't able to provide any descriptors; 9:04 p.m., EMS is requested for a female who has glass in her eye; 12:52 a.m., additional call received in reference to terroristic threatening towards involved parties' families; 1:40 a.m., male is in the lobby at the police department wanting to talk to an officer; K9 unit contacted and he  advised he was in Lexington and would come when he gets back into town if police still needed him; 8:55 p.m., Fort Logan emergency room contacted; fire department contacted for lighting; K9 deployed at 9:15 p.m.; 11:21 p.m., officer has one female en route to Randolph Hill; arrest made.

9:43 p.m., EMS at hospital advised that two subjects were on scene with gunshot wounds; 9:14 p.m., officer requested UK police take pictures of victim's wounds before surgery; 9:21 p.m., UK police advised they were not able to take photos.

9:19 p.m., subject is requesting assistance with lodging and retrieving property; assistance given.

9:49 p.m., there is a white Jeep parked on Toombs Court that may be the suspect's vehicle from the shooting call; male detained; arrest made.

10:30 p.m., caller is reporting that a 17-year-old was supposed to be home at 10 p.m.; when grandmother spoke to him he sounded distressed and was somewhere on the road riding a bike; subject was located and he is en route to his house; assistance given.
