Police Blotter from August 7, 2012

AUGUST 7 

12:25 a.m., report of a gunshot in the Cemetery Street area of Junction City; officers in the area advised it was fireworks.

1 a.m., caller is reporting that Earl Street residence has been burglarized within the last 10 hours.

1:17 a.m., caller on Hudson Avenue advised that juveniles in a truck placed something in the yard near the rose bush under the living room window.

9:08 a.m., citizen is at police department to report theft of a wallet from a vehicle overnight.

11:04 a.m., a male is banging on the caller’s front door on Circle Drive; she asked him to leave but he is refusing; trouble settled.

1:29 p.m., two-vehicle accident at Fourth Street and Fackler.

2:14 p.m., an animal has been stolen from the humane society within the last hour.

2:28 p.m., shoplifting in progress at Walmart; 2:36 p.m., suspects are in vehicle traveling south on Gose Pike; 2:44 p.m., officer stopped vehicle on Gose Pike arrest made.

3:34 p.m., a car is abandoned in the middle of East Main Street near the pond.

4:16 p.m., extra patrol is requested on Citation Drive overnight due to a lot of traffic and juveniles outside who have been loud and belligerent.

4:30 p.m., caller is requesting options and advice about a female who she works with who is suicidal; when subject was confronted at her home she was in a car and had taken a large amount of Xanex and alcohol; 7:27 p.m., taking female to the emergency room with a mental detention order; assistance given.

6:38 p.m., verbal domestic altercation just occurred at North Fourth Street; assistance given to female on North Fifth Street.

6:48 p.m., two-vehicle accident on Lebanon Road.

7:07 p.m., unknown medical emergency on Wetherburn Court; caller can hear a male yelling for help; car hood fell on subject’s hand as he was working on the vehicle.

7:27 p.m., adult female shoplifter under arrest at Walmart.

9:13 p.m., officers are requested to help a subject turn off his oxygen tank; assistance given; EMS is requested for a leaking oxygen tank.

9:39 p.m., caller is requesting to check on the welfare of her 16-year-old niece who has been in a verbal altercation with her mother for the past two days.

10:25 p.m., subject is in police department lobby reporting criminal mischief to his vehicle; as he passed the parking garage someone threw something off the building that hit his vehicle.

10:23 p.m., report of a possible disturbance at Longview Drive residence; arrest made.

11:58 p.m., caller advised that someone was throwing fruit off the top of the city parking garage onto vehicles traveling up Third Street.
