Man arrested on drug-related charges
LIBERTY — Police made two arrests following a drug exchange on Oct. 15.
Jason Mark Clements, 35, of Liberty, was arrested Nov. 3 after he allegedly sold 11 Klonopin to Kellen Sanders, 23, of Liberty.
Sanders was arrested Oct. 31 and was charged with possession of a controlled substance, third degree. Clements later was arrested for trafficking a controlled substance, third degree.
Trailer and tools stolen from Casey home
LIBERTY — Police are searching for a trailer following a theft during the weekend in Casey County.
Keith Wright reported a trailer had been stolen sometime between 10 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday from his home on U.S. 127. According to Chad Weddle with the Casey County Sheriff’s Department, the trailer is estimated to be worth $3,000, plus several thousands of dollars worth of tools that were being stored inside.
The trailer is a black, 2005 Homesteader Patriot box trailer, with a v-nose, Weddle says, and police are asking anyone with any information to contact the sheriff’s department.
Woman finds burglar in home
HARRODSBURG — A woman returned to her mother’s house to find a burglar inside the home on Linden Avenue Oct. 31.
According to Harrodsburg¿Police, Julie Mink discovered Scottie A. McCristal, 35, of Azalea Street, in her mother’s house searching through a drawer when she returned home to let her mother’s dogs out. McCristal claimed he was in the wrong house and ran out the door.
Mink then informed another person, Tom Wheeler, of what had just occurred. Wheeler followed McCristal and told him to return to the home. He did and was arrested. McCristal was charged with burglary second degree when officers arrived on scene.
Police believe he may have been involved in other crimes of a similar nature but nothing has been proven in those cases.
McCristal is lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.
