Warrants served on four
Four people were arrested on outstanding warrants Wednesday night at a residence they were visiting on North Fourth Street.
According to Danville Police, M’Dre Whitehead, 20, was arrested for two warrants from Oct. 2, theft by unlawful taking over $500 and theft of a controlled substance.
Zack Dawson, 21, was arrested for a contempt of court warrant from Mercer County.
Patrick Brand, 19, was arrested for a contempt of court warrant in Boyle County.
Landon Ford, 19, had a warrant for nonpayment of fines in Boyle County. Ford also was charged with possession of a controlled substance, appearing to have both cocaine and marijuana on him, as well as tampering with physical evidence.
Police Chief Anthony Gray Jr. said the department had received complaints of possible drug activity at the Fourth Street residence. Officers observed the individuals visiting the residence earlier in the day, Gray said, and about 6 p.m., police entered the residence.
None of the individuals lived at the address.
School football field vandalized
HARRODSBURG — Police are trying to determine who entered Mercer County High School property and committed acts of vandalism. Damage was discovered Nov. 6 by an employee of the school, Kerry Anness.
The perpetrators vandalized the football field house and maintenance building, as well as various aspects of the Alvis Johnson football field, which appeared to have been driven on. Police said the goal post, press box and football field bench all were spray painted with obscenities.
