A Danville domestic dispute became violent Saturday night when a woman allegedly cut her husband several times.
Assistant Danville Police Chief Tom Bustle said Elizabeth Brown, 27, of Danville was charged with assaulting her husband, James Scott Boyd, 43, with a box cutter in their apartment at 318 Harding St.
Bustle said Brown and Boyd apparently got into an argument over another person who was at the home. Alcohol was believed to be involved.
Boyd left the scene and was located walking near Toliver Elementary School. He was treated for what Bustle said were superficial injuries to his stomach and back.
Brown was booked into the Boyle County Detention Center where she is being held on a $10,000 cash bond. She faces a charge of second-degree assault — domestic violence.
