CRAB ORCHARD — Thelma Estelle Fentress Neal, 89, passed away Saturday at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mount Vernon.
She was the widow of Quinton Neal, who passed away in 1990.
Born Dec. 24, 1922, in Virginia Beach, Va., Mrs. Neal was a daughter of the late James and Mary Fentress. She was a very kind of loving mother and grandmother and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean (Dave) Beach of Stanford and Mary Ann Davis of Virginia Beach, Va.; a son, James Clarence (Cathy Snipes) of North Carolina; a daughter-in-law, Geraldine Peele of Brodhead; a brother, Roy L. Fentress of Bluff City, Tenn; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Three sons, Keith Neal, Michael Snipes and Jim Peele, and a granddaughter, Beverly Jean Peele, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be noon Tuesday at McKnight Funeral Home with Bro. Harold McLaren officiating. Burial in Mount Zion Church of Christ Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
