MORELAND — Donald Wayne “Don” Simpson, 68, of Hustonville, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012.
Born Nov. 25, 1943, he was a son of the late Gibson Simpson and Erma Brown Simpson Terrell. He was retired from Stanley Jones Corp. in South Fulton, Tenn. He was involved with Boyle County Fish and Game Club, and Kentucky Long Rifle Association, and was a Kentucky Colonel. Don was a loving father and grandfather, and a dedicated husband.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Peggy Ross Simpson; a son, Tony (Traci Vaught) Simpson; two daughters, Sissy (Danny) Noe and Vicky (Lee) Belcher; and a daughter at heart, Patsy Smith; a brother, Carl (Edith) Simpson; seven grandchildren, Melody and Misti Simpson, Kourtney Belcher, Bub (Jess) Williams, Curt (Tammy) Williams, and Apryl and Sami Noe; and a granddaughter at heart, Kelsey Holt; three great-grandchildren, Graci, Gavyn and Trevor Williams; and his precious puppy, Tiny.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Bro. J.R. Fields. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bub and Curt Williams, Tony Simpson, Lee Belcher, Jeff VonGruenigen and Danny Noe. Honorary pallbearers are Melody and Misti Simpson, Kourtney Belcher, Koty Carey, Lewis Brown, Brandon Sebastion, Kelsey Holt and Patsy Smith.
