WAYNESBURG — Blanche Hubble White, 91, of Highlands Assisted Living Facility in Somerset, formerly of Waynesburg and Louisville, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Born Friday, Aug. 5, 1921, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Caleb and Kabelle Falconberry Hubble. She was the loving wife of the late Edward B. White.

Blanche was a graduate of the University of Louisville and a retired teacher of 42 years for the Louisville/Jefferson County Board of Education. She was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church, a member of the Waynesburg Eastern Star, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, and member of Alpha Delta Kappa in Somerset.

Blanche leaves behind several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and -nephews; and several great-great-nieces and -nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, John Marion and Thomas Albert Hubble; and three sisters, Faunice Hubble, Nettie Stonecypher and Katherine May.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Shepherd officiating the service. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Memorial Park on Bardstown Road in Louisville with Bro. Kerry Jones officiating the service.

Active pallbearers will be nephews and great-nephews.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
