Bryan “Mudpuppy” Vaught, 46, passed away on Jan. 6, 2012, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.  

Born Sept. 17, 1965, he was a son of Bobby and Marie Regis Vaught. He worked for many years at Bob Allen Motor Mall in many different capacities. Bryan enjoyed sports. He loved bowling, Danville Admiral football, Kentucky Wildcats, and the Chicago Bears, Bulls and Cubs. He also enjoyed camping, hanging out at Mallards Restaurant, spending time with his co-workers at Bob Allen, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Along with his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Pam and Janeen Vaught of Danville; four brothers, Steve and Billy Vaught of Danville, Jimmy (Maria) Vaught and Roby (Lorrie) Vaught, both of Albuquerque N.M.; two nieces, Lisa (Kyle) Huffman and Kayla Preston, both of Danville; three nephews, David and C.J. Vaught, both of Danville, and Brent Watts of Harrodsburg; and a great-nephew, Aedyn Huffman of Danville. He also is survived by many friends whom he considered family.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Main Street in Danville, with Father Peter Joseph officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery where there will be a balloon release in Bryan’s memory. 

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.
