LIBERTY — Christine Fogle, 97, died Wednesday.
Born April 23, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Edgar and Cleota Mae Jones Fogle. She was a retired school teacher and a member, pianist and Sunday School teacher at Middleburg Baptist Church. A graduate of Campbellsville College, she helped initiate Middleburg Fire Department. She was the former bookkeeper for Middleburg Cemetery and wrote for the Casey County News for years.
Survivors include a sister, Cora Mae Cowherd; a nephew, James Morris Cowherd; a niece, Betty MacFarland; a great-nephew, Russ Cowherd; and two great-nieces, Christy Almond and Brooke Cowherd.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Fogle.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Sunday.
