D Duker Bogard Jr.
1961-2012
D. Duker Bogard Jr., 51, of Lexington, formerly of Danville, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012.
Born Feb. 6, 1961, in Bowling Green to D.D. Bogard Sr. and the late Helen MacAfee Glore Bogard, he was a sales manager for the Dr Pepper Snapple Group. He was a 1979 graduate of Millersburg Military Institute Preparatory School and a 1985 graduate of University of Kentucky. Duker loved spending time with family and friends on the lake.
Survivors include his father, D.D. Bogard Sr. of Greenvalley, Ariz.; an aunt, Wickliffe “Wickie” (George) Jett of Lexington; and cousins, Weathers Hardwick and Ted (Katie) Hardwick, both of Lexington, Margaret “Sissy” Glore Lanier of Louisville, Scott Glore III of Virginia and Cheryl Thompson of Harrodsburg.
A service of remembrance will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Stith Funeral Home in Danville.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Bellevue Cemetery.
Memorial donations are suggested to Danville-Boyle County Humane Society or Herrington Lake Conservation League.
