Della Simpson Cutter, 89, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013.
Born May 2, 1923, in Harlan County, Ky., she was a daughter of the late James and Ida May Osbourne Simpson. She was the widow of George Cutter.
Della attended the Junction City schools and was a member of First Baptist Church of Junction City, and the Eagles Club. Della worked at Palm Beach Co. and Genesco, and helped her husband, George, build houses. She ran Cutter’s Grocery in Junction City for several years. She was predeceased by six brothers and sisters.
Della is survived by her son, James Lee (Carolyn) Cutter Sr.; a special friend, Glenn Weldon; a brother, Charlie Simpson; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. The Rev. Dale Denton will officiate. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City.
