Donald Joseph Cain
1934-2013
MORELAND — Donald Joseph Cain, 78, of Stanford, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 10, 2013.
Born June 19, 1934, he was the son of the late Leonard Earl and Erie Estes Cain.
He was a farmer in the Turnersville community, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a faithful Christian. He was a member of Moreland Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Coleen Lawrence Cain; a son, Joe (Joan) Cain of Springfield; a daughter, Judy (Darrell) White of Waddy; and seven grandchildren, Jon-Michael, Jordan, Joseph and Josh Cain and Austin (Evelyn), Adam and Rachel White.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lena Kelley and Madaline Durham.
Services will be noon Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Aaron Snelling and the Rev. David Smith. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Steve Kelley, George B. Elliott and Brian Singleton, and grandsons.
Visitation is 5:30-9 p.m. today.
