STANFORD — Doris H. Williams, 76, of Hustonville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013. She was the wife of James Williams.
Born in Stanford on April 28, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Eddie and Eva Young. She was a housewife and a member of McKinney Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband of 58 years, survivors include two sons, Larry (Mary) Williams of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Jeffrey Williams, of Hustonville; one sister, Edith Kidd of Stanford; two grandchildren, Laura Williams and Jaclyn Byrd; four great-grandchildren, Trey and Bailee Baldwin, and Hunter and Kimber Byrd; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Draper officiating. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Hines, Joey Rice, Dale Alford, Les Gooch, Billy Phillips, Joe Dan Reed and Darrell McDonald. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Tinsley, Brian Tinsley, Phillip Baldwin, Terry Byrd Jr. and Jerry Oakes.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, Tenn., 37214.
