1974-2013

Dr. Daniel Louis Boje, 39, of Danville, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky., following an illness.

Born Jan. 8, 1974, in Buffalo, N.Y., he was a son of Carol Anne Bell Boje of North Tonawanda, N.Y., and the late Norman Boje. He graduated from North Tonawanda High School and Sherman Chiropractic College, Spartanburg, S.C. 

Dan was an active member of Southland Christian Church. He was a hunter, fisherman, gardener and outdoorsman. He had been an avid competitive cyclist and played ice hockey before his illness. He was a Doctor of Chiropractic and loved treating his patients and getting to know them. He also was a diligent internet explorer.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of  12 years, Gretchen Goad Boje; two brothers, David Boje of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and Douglas (Kathy) Boje of Pendleton, N.Y.; and his nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Kelly, Sarah, Patrick, Zachary and Anna Boje; his mother- and father-in-law, Minister Carl and Joan Goad; a brother- and sister-in-law, Philip and Marla Goad, and their children, Kayla and Preston. 

A Celebration of Life service will be 4 p.m. Friday at Southland Christian Church, Danville.  Ministers Brian Lucas and David Rizer will officiate. 

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m.¿Friday at the church.
