LANCASTER — Edward Tankersley, 72, of Lexington, formerly of Garrard County, died Wednesday at the VA Medical Center in Lexington.
Tankersley was in the army for more than 13 years and was also a truck driver. He was a member of Harmons Lick Church of God.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose Marie Tankersley of Tennessee and Lena Jones of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Earl (Judith) Tankersley of Cincinnati and Curtis (Alice) Tankersley of Nicholasville; and a sister, Helen Collet of Lexington.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Richard and Stella Helton Tankersley.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 11, at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Daryl Hodge officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. Monday 11 until time of service.
