Eugene Shaw, transitioned from this life, Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013.
He was a native of Gary, Ind., and son of the late Viola White and Cecil Shaw.
Eugene matriculated at Purdue University, was a life-member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and was a member of First Baptist Church. He was active in the community of Danville and was formerly employed at Corning.
Survivors include his daughters, Toi (Billy) O’Neill, Erica Shaw-Bell and Jennifer Shaw; their mother and life-long friend, Dr. Pamella Shaw; three grandchildren; 11 siblings; and a special friend, Rosa Smith.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Gary, Ind.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday.
