STANFORD — Garey Ray Christison, 68, husband of Wanda Daugherty Christison, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013.
Born Oct. 5, 1944, in Junction City, he was the son of the late Hardin and Zelma Goodlett Christison. He was a retired state employee and worked part-time for Keith’s Electrical. He was a member of Franklin Lodge and Fairview Baptist Church. Garey was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Vacationing in the mountains with his whole family was one of his greatest joys.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Garey J. Christison of North Carolina, Scot (Connie) Tankersley of Stanford and Barry Tankersley of Brandenburg; a daughter, Rita Carol Christison Cornett of Lancaster; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be noon Monday at Stith Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Baker officiating. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Sunday at Stith Funeral Home.
