MORELAND — Gary “Mutt” Mullins, 61, of Moreland, passed away Jan. 12, 2013.
Born June 3, 1951, he was a son of Maydell Trailor Mullins of Stanford and the late Harrison “Buddy” Mullins. Mutt was a graduate of Hustonville High School. He enjoyed being outdoors — he liked hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers and running.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 35 years, Julie Longwill Mullins; a son, Michael “Mutt” Mullins; two daughters, Brandi (Shane) Dearmon of Fort Sill, Okla., and Brittany Mullins of Hustonville; a brother, Larry Mullins of Lexington; a sister, Sheila Mullins of Stanford; and seven grandchildren, Kelsey, Brooklyn, Lakyn, Milah, Izabella, Dakota and Maci.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Hope Baptist Church by Bro. David Fralix. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Mullins, Eric Lay, Dennis Jones, Wayne Cummins, Brad Curtis, Cecil Neikirk, Junior Sears and Billy Love. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Maddox and Rob Longwill.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at the church.
