LANCASTER — Geneva Lane, 91, of Danville Street, Lancaster, died Sunday, Nov. 18, at her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lane Sr.

Born in Garrard County to the late James Elbert and Nora Clark Preston, Geneva was a homemaker and a devoted member of Mount Hebron Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Cecil Lane Jr. (Irene) and Jimmy Lane (Linda), both of Lancaster; two daughters, Betty Lane Cox of Danville and Brenda McCulley of Nicholasville; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers, James Elbert Preston and Eugene Preston, and a sister, Katherine Howard.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Mount Hebron Baptist Church with Bro. Grant Hardwick and Bro. Ricky Stump officiating.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at the church.

Active pallbearers will be Steve Lane, Chad Lane, Travis Lane, Craig McCulley, Jerry Domidion, Jenny Stump and Richard Lane. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
