STANFORD — Gracie Boyd Selch, 89, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Stanford, Ky.

Born March 10, 1923, in Casey County, Ky., she was a daughter of the late David and Mary Needs Barger.
She was the widow of the late Rev. Arthur Selch, to whom she was married for 72 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Hustonville Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Geneva Owens (Kenneth) of Liberty, Ky., Pauline Smithers (Bobby) of Liberty Township, Ohio, Effie Atwood (Gerald) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Margaret Montooth (Denis) of Stanford, Ky., and Sherry Brown (“Buggar” Bruce) of Moreland, Ky.; two sons, Bobby Selch (Verla) and Jerry Selch (Janet), both of Hustonville, Ky.; 20 grandchildren; 29 great- grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Crowe; a brother, Clay Barger; and two sisters, Mae Propes and Edith Hendren.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Brush Creek Pentecostal Church in Liberty, Ky. The Revs. Burl King and Wendell Johnson will officiate.

Casketbearers will be Kenneth Owens, Bobby Smithers, Gerald Atwood, Denis Montooth, Bruce “Buggar” Brown and Ronnie Clarkson. Honorary bearers will be her sons, Jerry and Bobby Selch.

Visitation will be from 11a.m.- 2 p.m.¿Tuesday at the church.
