Hazel Lester
1920-2013
HARRODSBURG — Hazel Black Lester, 92, died Tuesday.
Born Nov. 17, 1920, in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late James Daniel and Hester Newby Black. She was a retired Mercer County teacher and a member of Bruners Chapel Baptist Church where she had served as pianist and organist.
Survivors include her husband, Carlos B. Lester; two sons, Donnie (Cheryl) Lester and Doug (Kathy) Lester, both of Harrodsburg; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services are today at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
