LENOIR CITY, TENN. — Helen B. Croft, 97, of Clinton and Lenoir City, Tenn., passed away Friday, July 13, 2012, at River Oaks Place in Lenoir City.
Born July 18, 1914, in Greencastle,¿Ind., she was the daughter of the late James and Mayme Young. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Buster, Leonard and Glenn Young; a son, Dannie Croft, and daughter, Nancy Davis.
She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Clinton, Tenn. Helen will be remembered for her forgiving spirit, generous hospitality and total devotion to her family. She was a beloved mother, grandma and great-grandma.
Survivors include her son, Charles Croft of Dandridge, Tenn.; daughters, Eleanor May of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., Mary Sautter of Sylvania, Ohio, Bonnie Jones of Louisville, Tenn., and Peggy Smith and Ann Walden, both of Lenoir City, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A special thanks to staff at River Oaks Place in Lenoir City and Amedisys Hospice Services in Sweetwater, Tenn.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Dr. Dick DeMerchant officiating.
Family and friends will gather for graveside services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Highland United Methodist Church Cemetery in Highland, Ky.
