Henry Patton “Pat” Kincaid III, 67, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013. 

Born April 28, 1945, in New Orleans, La., he was the son of the late Henry Patton and Mary Emma Baldwin Kincaid.

He graduated from Lebanon High School and University of Kentucky where he was a member of the golf team and Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

For 22 years, Pat and his wife, Linda, owned Kincaid Furniture in Danville, Ky., and after 1989, he was a manufacturers sales representative for Hickory Hill Furniture Corp. He was twice named Sales Representative of the Year by Hickory Hill Furniture.

He was a member and former deacon of The Presbyterian Church.  He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Pat was an avid lover of the game of golf and past member of Danville Country Club. He was a past president of the Danville Little League and a former member of Danville Rotary Club.

Pat was loved for his wit, his love of history and genealogy and his realistic point of view. His family was his greatest joy.

Pat is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda Carroll Kincaid; a son, Patton (Rebecca) Kincaid of Madison, Miss.; a daughter, Susan Kincaid (Jay) Powell of St. Mary’s, W.Va.; a sister, Mary Baldwin Johnson of Nashville Tenn.; five grandchildren, Patton and Ella Kincaid, Caroline, Callie and Claire Powell.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at The Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Jim Stewart will officiate. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home and 11 a.m.-noon Wednesday at The Presbyterian Church.
