PERRYVILLE — Imogene Pendegrist Reynolds, 83, of Perryville, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 4, 1929, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Myrtle Carr Pendegrist.
Imogene “Nanny” was devoted to her family and friends. She was a member of the Perryville United Methodist Church; a former secretary for Mary Pendygraft, who served as Boyle County Judge Executive; a former volunteer of the Perryville Rescue Squad; owner of and seamstress for Reynolds Clothing Store; and had been active in the Democratic Party and community events. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She spent her whole life helping others and anyone who knew her realizes how she touched their lives.
Imogene’s survivors include her husband of 65 years, Carlos “Cotton” Reynolds; two daughters, JoAnne Reynolds of Perryville and Beth Reynolds Dixon of Princeton, N.C.; six grandchildren, Cortney (Johnny) Shewmaker, Lacresha “My” (Eric) Gibson, Jami Pass Johnson, Derek Gibson, Dara Lee Gibson (Jason) Ramirez and Hunter Dixon; 10 great-grandchildren, Jordon and Joseph Shewmaker, Makaylee and Brandon Johnson, Summer Poynter, Bailey Ellis, Luke Gibson, Ryan, Zack and Alex Ramirez.
A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at the Perryville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Eddie Reynolds, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
