STANFORD — Imogene Hargis Stogsdill, 80, of Stanford, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012.
Born Oct. 18, 1932, in Pulaski County, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Walter and Golda Speaks Hargis. She was a homemaker and a member of Stanford Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Arnold Stogsdill; a son, Joe Stogsdill (Becky), and a daughter, Pamela Joy Fins (Eddie), both of Stanford; six sisters, Gladys Whitaker (Clell) of Shopville, Ky., and Ella B. Phelps, Violet Hargis, Christine Hargis (Carlos), Nadine Phelps (Wayne Lee) and Jetta Richardson (Wayne), all of Somerset, Ky.; two grandchildren, Stephanie Fins and Seth Stogsdill; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne Hargis (Jo Ann), Howard Hargis (Mayvis) and Harold Hargis (Betty); and a sister, Vera Hargis.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Greg Hancock. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.
