JUNCTION CITY — James Matthew “Bugger” Coontz, 54, of Junction City, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012.
Born June 16, 1958, in Danville, he was the son of the late James Luke and Dorothy “Lib” Turner Coontz. He attended the Junction City schools and was a member of Worldstown Church of God. Bugger was a construction heavy equipment operator who loved to fish and play cards. He won several trophies playing pool. He is the widower of Judy Carol Coontz.
Survivors include a niece, Elizabeth (Billy “Duck”) Boblitt of Springfield; and a great-niece, Brittney Hall of Springfield.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. The Rev. Wendell Douglas will officiate. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Billy Boblitt, Bob Reyberg, Brian Watters, Mike Sinkhorn, T.C. Propes Jr., Roy Copy, Steven Turner, James Martin and Brandon Watters.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City.
