WAYNESBURG — Joseph “Joe” Thomas Oaks, 61, of Lancaster, died Thursday.
Born April 16, 1951, in Hamilton, Ohio, he was a son of the late Leonard H. and Margaret Carter Oaks. He was an employee of Lancaster Christian Care Center and a Marine veteran. He also was a knife maker.
Survivors include his sisters, Edna Irene Williams, Janice Arlene Gregory and Diana B. Oakley, all of Lancaster; and a special friend, Melody Jones of Lancaster.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Fox Funeral Home with Bro. Daryl Hodge officiating the service.
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
