STANFORD — Kenny Creech, 17, of McKinney, died Thursday, July 5, 2012, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.
Born Nov. 7, 1994, in Danville, Kenny had finished his junior year and was getting ready for his senior year at Fort Logan High School. He enjoyed riding his dirt bike and skateboarding.
Survivors include his mother, Glenda Staton and her fiance, Todd Grogan, of McKinney; his father, Luther Creech of Lancaster; three sisters, Tiffany Warmouth and Samantha Creech of Lancaster and Cassie Grogan of McKinney; maternal grandmother, Darlene Staton of Waynesburg; paternal grandmother, Olie Kele of Ohio; paternal grandfather, Lloyd Creech of Lancaster; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Victor Staton, and two uncles, Larry and Ryan Staton.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2012, at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel in Stanford.
Services will 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Poplarville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Vince Staton, Jeff Staton, Hank Judge, Tucker Leach, Charlie Reynolds, Seth “Chubbs” Perkins, Mark Eldridge and Todd Grogan.
Honorary pallbearer will be Tucker Leach.
