STANFORD — Lee Roy Wilcher, 84, of McKinney, Ky., died June 21, 2012, in Danville, Ky. 

Born July 15, 1927, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Lucien and Myrtle Wilcher. He was a veteran of the Korean War, an employee of the old state hospital in Danville, and was retired from Eastern State Hospital in Lexington, Ky. He was a member of Green River Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Alma Lay Wilcher; two sons, Jackie Wilcher and Terry Wilcher (Michelle), and a daughter, Vicky Long Privett (Dale,) all of McKinney; two sisters, Nellie Williams (Robert) of Rushville, Ind., and Joyce Moyer (Jack) of New Whiteland, Ind.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Wallace, Lewis and J.B. Wilcher.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Green River Pentecostal Church in McKinney, with the Rev. Rick Naylor officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford. 

Casketbearers will be Lon Long, T.J. Wilcher, Michael Wilcher, Austin Terry, Kelly Wilcher and Bobby Wilcher. Honorary bearers will be James Short, John Hasty, Jimmy Adams and Johnny Mack Brown.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Saturday at the church.
