STANFORD — Lucille Dalton May, 90, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Stanford.
Born Feb. 2, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Elo and Tella Piercy Dalton of Wayne County. She was the widow of Gerald S. May. She was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky State, now Eastern Kentucky University, a former school teacher for 15 years, a homemaker and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Charles May (Robin) and Eddie May (Colette), both of Stanford; four grandchildren, Dayna Godbey (Tim) of Stanford, Jaeson May (Angela) of Mount Pleasant, S.C., Heather Stoll (Jeff) of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kyle May (Andrea) of Danville; nine great-grandchildren; two nephews; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Vickery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel.
A graveside service will 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
