Margaret Carter
1914-2013
JUNCTION CITY — Margaret Elizabeth Nevius Carter, 98, widow of James Robert Carter, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 29, 2013, at Charleston Healthcare Center.
Born May 8, 1914, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late James M. and Susie Brown Nevius. She was retired from Corning Glass and was a member of Junction City First Baptist Church. Margaret loved bowling, University of Kentucky and Boyle County sports, her Lord and her church, especially Noah.
Survivors include two sons, Donald (Isabel) Carter and James L. (Vicky) Carter; two daughters, Bobbie (James Lee) Yates and Patricia A. (William) Coulter; four sisters, Jeanette Holly, Louise Robinson, Phoebe Mohnson and Patricia Engedol; fourteen grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City with the Rev. Ernest Martin, the Rev. Choe Sergent and the Rev. Dale Denton officiating. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday in Junction City.
Memorial donations may be made to Junction City First Baptist Church building fund.
