JUNCTION CITY — Martha Magdalene Simpson Johnson, 89, of Parksville, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012. Martha was the widow of James “Buddy” Johnson.
Born Oct. 13, 1923, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late Dudley O’Bradley and Julie Ann Durham Simpson. She was retired from Jackson Chair after 31 years on the trim line and a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Johnson King of Danville; two sons, Tom (Linda) Johnson of Danville and Glen Johnson of Parksville; a sister, Elsie Tamme of Danville; five grandchildren, Bobby Chapin, Sammy Chapin, Jeremy Johnson, Darrin Johnson and Scott Johnson; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Run Baptist Church with Bro. Ernest Fields Jr. Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City.
