STANFORD — Mary Banks Scott, 87, widow of David A. Scott, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Lexington Country Place after a long illness.
Born Aug. 16, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Fleece and Catherine Gooch of Stanford. She was a homemaker and a member of Stanford Christian Church.
Survivors include her sister, Arvetta Marshall; a nephew, Bill Marshall; a niece, Kelley Marshall; a great-nephew, William Zachary Marshall; and a great-niece, Meagan Ashley Marshall.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Gene Land.
The service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Spurlin Funeral Home with the Rev. Stewart Dawson officiating.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m.
