STANFORD — Nora Rothwell Britt, 59, of McKinney, died Friday, March 30, 2012, at her home.  

Born Aug. 19, 1952 in Franklin, Ind., she was a daughter of the late James Samuel and Louise Rash Rothwell, and the widow of Johnny Taylor Britt. She had worked for Bluegrass 911 Communications for Lincoln and Garrard counties for 18 years. Nora was a member of the Bowen Fellowship Church.

Survivors include a son, Shannon Britt (Kellie) of McKinney; a daughter, Lena Tate (Mark) of Bradfordsville, Ky.; her mother-in-law, Flora Taylor; a sister, Brenda Lennis (Mike) of Mooresville, Ind.; two brothers, Jimmy Rothwell (Darla) of Edinbugh, Ind., and John David Rothwell (Bonnie) of Stanford; four grandchildren, Cheyenne and Austin Britt and Sarah Grace and Jacob Owen Tate; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her twin infant daughters, Candice Louise and Kimberly Ann Britt.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at Spurlin Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2012, at the funeral home with Bro. Mark Tate officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be John David Rothwell, Jimmy Rothwell, Mike Lennis, Ed Walls, Dale Walls, John David Rothwell Jr. and Jesse Rothwell. Honorary bearers will be her grandchildren, Lou Wright Dean, Barbara Walls and Jean Combs.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Heritage Hospice.
