STANFORD — Nora Shearer Sheron, 83, of Stanford, Ky., died Wednesday, Nov, 7, 2012, at home.
Born July 8, 1929, in Boyle County, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Welsey and Mary Case Shearer. She was the widow of the Rev. James Sheron Sr.
She had been co-owner with her husband of Shopworth Food Center in downtown Stanford. She also had worked as a seamstress at Palm Beach in Danville, Ky. Nora was a member of Somerset First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her children, Jimmy Sheron (Donna) of Stanford, Mike Sheron (Patricia) of Nancy, Ky., Gail Barry (Dennis) of Newport News, Va., and Michelle Kirsch (Mark) of Long Beach, Miss.; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, JoLene Edwards, two brothers and a sister.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Stanford Church of the Nazrene. The Rev. Buford Edwards II will officiate the service. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Stanford Church of the Nazarene,
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to Heritage Hospice or Stanford Church of the Nazarene.
