Terry Joan Scott, 56, of Lexington, died Dec. 16, 2012, at Markey Cancer Center.
Born Oct. 26, 1956, in Salyersville, Ky., she was a daughter of Marilyn Sue Brown Scott of Lancaster, Ky., and the late Alonzo Scott. She was director of communications for American Pharmacy Alliance.
Terry loved the outdoors, gardening and traveling, and was devoted to her family. She was giving to all.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her partner for life, Douglas Shelton of Lexington, Ky.; two brothers, Mark (Michaelle) Scott and Wade Scott, both of Lancaster; four sisters, Connie (Charlie) Brookshire of Lakeworth, Fla., Marcia Shackelton (Kevil Chinn) of Danville, Ky., Debbie (Doug) MacGibbon of Royal Palm Beach, Fla., and Angie (Jay) Latimer of Mount Sterling, Ky.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to the VA Hospice Center or American Cancer Society.
