PERRYVILLE — Virgil ‘Pete” Thomas Wofford Jr., 72, of Perryville, died Fri., Nov. 2, 2012, at his residence.

Born May 22, 1940, in Boyle County, he was a son of the late Virgil Thomas Wofford Sr. and Thelma Franklin Wofford. Pete was a self-employed house painter. He loved being outdoors hunting and fishing. Pete also enjoyed cooking and making homemade biscuits.

Survivors include a daughter, Pam Stevens (Jimmy) of Junction City; two sons, Rick Wofford (Frankie) of Danville and Jeff Wofford of Junction City; a sister, Nina “Sissy” Cummins (Marion) of Gravel Switch; six grandchildren, Jeremy and Jayme Wofford, Justin and Krystal Stevens, and Nikki and Rusty Rothwell; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tues., Nov. 6, 2012, at Wilder Funeral Home with burial following in Parksville Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Wofford, Rusty Rothwell, Justin Stevens, Marion Cummins Jr., Alfred Cox and Lee Smith.
