MORELAND — Virginia Cummins Russell, 77, of Lexington, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012.
Born Jan. 17, 1935, in Casey County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Faye Jeffries Cummins and the widow of Roy Russell Jr. She was retired from J.C. Penney Co. in Lexington after 30 years.
She was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church in Lexington and a graduate of Hustonville High School.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Paul Kargel; two grandchildren, Hunter and Rebecca Kargel; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Russell and Gerri Dunn, all of Lexington.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Eddie Benton. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Paul and Hunter Kargel, Scott Russell, Wayne Cummins, Jordan Dennis and David Williams.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Rosemont Baptist Church in Lexington, and after 11 a.m. Thurs. at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home, Moreland.
