William Cooley
1947-2013
William Ronnie Cooley, 65, of Danville, died Sunday March 3, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of Deborah Warner Cooley for 37 years.
Born April 10, 1947, in Marion County, he was the son of the late William Howard and Geneva Smith Cooley. Ronnie was a deacon at Gethsemane Baptist Church and a retired manager of the Danville Unemployment Office. He also worked as a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker, VIP Realty. Ronnie graduated from Boyle County High School and Campbellsville College.
Survivors include two children, Jeffrey Cooley of Crab Orchard, Ky., and Laura Cooley of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; his mother-in-law, Violet Warner, sister-in-law, Patricia Settle, and brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Marlene Warner, all of Burgin.
The visitation and memorial service will be held at Stith Funeral Home and Family¿Center in Junction City, Ky.
Visiting hours are 6-8 p.m. today and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday.
The memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 6. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers include Earl Camic, Lyle Evans, Bobby Hinkle, Herschel McKinley, Rodney Thompson and David Wade. The deacons and yokefellows of Gethsemane Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church or Gideon’s International.
