MIDDLEBURG — William E. Lucas, 87, of Memphis, Tenn., died Wednesday.
Born Aug. 22, 1924, in Middleburg, he was a son of the late Herman F. and Zella Simpson Lucas. He was an engineer retired from Kimberly Clark, an Army World War II veteran and a deacon at Highland Heights Baptist Church. He was the widower of Janet Lucas.
Survivors include a brother, Charles Lucas of Middleburg; and a sister, Madelle Stafford of Danville.
Services will be 1 p.m.¿Saturday at Bartle Funeral Home, Middleburg. Burial will be in Middleburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m.¿Saturday.
