OWENTON — Roy Prather Jr., 77, the widower of Freda Cook Prather, died Thursday.
Born June 16, 1935, in Owen County, he was a son of the late Roy and Lula Mae Gaines Prather.
Survivors include a son, David Prather of Perryville; a daughter, Nancy Boisseau of Owenton; special friend, Wanda Westmoreland; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Two infant sisters and five siblings, Ruby Wainscott, Kirtley, Wilton, Gayle and Willard Prather, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at McDonald & New Funeral Homes.
Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society - Owen County Relay for Life.
